Annual Report-2018-2019
NSS units I & II during this academic year took up
several special programmes organized by A.P State Govt. in collaboration with Krishna
University. All these programmes not only provided good exposure to the NSS
students to move closely with the community and work along with them but also helped
them develop social awareness and proper perspective.
The first programme, Plantation Drive ‘Vanam –Manam’
was conducted on 23-07-18 on the campus as per the instructions of Honourable
Chief Minister.
As part of 100hrs Swacch Bharat
Programme in the adopted villages, our NSS students observed the local
community closely and studied their living conditions and problems while working
along with the personnel of the local Self –Govt. bodies in June and July, 2018.
Our college stood in the third place statewide in Swacch Bharat programme.
Apart from the Nodal Officer, Ms. L.M.R. Swarupa Rani, Dept. of English and
Lecturer in Charge for the programme, Ms. Jyothsna Valenteena, Dept. of Political Science, the two NSS Programme
Officers, Dr. B. Rajendra Prasad, Dept. of Political Science and Ms. Y.
Supriya, Dept. of English and the faculty handling degree classes accompanied
the students during this period and guided them to take an active part in the
community welfare activities.
